Personas (with empathy)

Steve has been married for 6 years and has 2 young children. He decides to adopt a dog that will be a great companion for his kids as they grow up. Though Steve has no idea which breeds to choose from, he takes Matchdogs questionnaire to figure out which breed best fits his and his wife needs.

STEVE, 31

"FAMILY MAN"

Susan lives alone in a one bedroom studio and has always wanted a dog as a pet. She hopes she can find a dog that can go running with her and to ultimately make her feel safe at home.

SUSAN, 23

Conceptual Model (Grammar)

Object-Action Matrix

The object-action matrix illustrates the grammar used to build Matchdogs information framework. It also presents an idealized view of how we want users to interact with the product.

Prioritization Matrix

The prioritization matrix illustrates what the UX design should reflect. Functionalities and features that are used most frequently and by the most users should be highly visible and have less number of clicks .

Experience Flow

Flow for seeing today's mutt's % match with the user

Users are able to see today's mutt's bio and from there can answer a questionnaire to see compatibility.

Grids & Sketches

HCI principles for grid design

Time & space, gestalt grouping, use of white space, loci of control (global/local navigation)
